不知不觉中，上海酷儿影展已陪伴了大家两年。从最近的栖息之地，到遥远的大洋彼岸，我们以光影为旗帜，相聚在一段段酷儿影像里。在更多影人和更多观众之间构建一座桥梁，正是我们作为一个酷儿电影平台的初衷与希望。
短片单元一直是我们诸多活动中激动人心的重磅环节。在过去的两届影展中，我们从全球各地收到了逾千部作品，最终入围的优秀短片也获得了观众的强烈反响。今年（2019），上海酷儿影展将强势回归，短片单元征片从今日起正式启动。
How time flies. SHQFF has been here with you for two years. As a queer cinema platform, each year we crossed boundaries near and far to bring back cutting-edge queer images for a growing size of filmmakers and audiences. We gathered to watch films and share life stories in the light and shadows of our rainbow banner. This is why we are here, for each and every one of you.
SHQFF Shorts, the short film division has always been a defining element of our festival. In the past two years, we have received over 1000 submissions from all over the world, and our excellent finalists have received enthusiastic audience responses at the festival. As SHQFF returns to the stage, we now kick off the 2019 open call for SHQFF Shorts submissions.
2019年上海酷儿影展“短片单元”将沿袭去年，下设亚洲短片竞赛与世界短片展映两个分单元。如此安排，也是希望在尽可能为本土观众展示更多优质内容的同时，为亚洲酷儿荧幕形象提供更加宽阔丰满的舞台。
如果你的影片讲述的是发生在亚洲的LGBTQIA故事，或有关亚洲LGBTQIA角色经历，请报名参加2019上海酷儿影展亚洲酷儿短片竞赛；如果你的影片中没有亚洲元素，但有关LGBTQIA主题，请报名参加2019上海酷儿影展世界短片展映。

Following last year’s tradition, this year you may submit your short film to either one of the two short film categories: Asian Short Film Competition and World Short Film Screening. It is our hope to offer a wider stage for Asian queers on screen while bringing more quality films to our local audience.
If your LGBTQIA story is set in Asia or features characters with Asian backgrounds, please submit to Asian Short Film Competition. If your film is about LGBTQIA experiences but not Asia-themed, please submit your entry to World Short Film Screening.
We look forward to seeing the queer spectrum in your camera.
