For most closeted queer people living with their families, it is only after moving out, away from gender dichotomy and heterosexual morality, that they can open the door to new homes and make their own ‘families’. Rejecting the normative constructs of marriage and childbirth, they carve an alternative route, a new path carved in queer history.
